What it does

Squalane is the hydrogenated form of squalene, an oil the skin also produces. It absorbs quickly and suits most skin types.

It can come from olives, sugarcane or, historically, shark liver, and the label does not say which. That is why it makes the vegan check say not sure unless the product is labelled vegan.
