What it does
Jojoba oil is pressed from the seeds of a desert shrub. Chemically it is a liquid wax rather than a true oil, so it does not go rancid quickly and feels light. It softens skin and hair and is common in face oils, cleansers and lip balms. CosIng lists it as emollient and skin conditioning.
It is plant-derived and affects none of the six checks. It is a carrier oil, not an essential oil, so it is not fragrance.
