What it does

PEG-100 stearate is stearic acid joined to a long chain of ethylene oxide. It is almost always paired with glyceryl stearate; the pair is one of the most used emulsifier systems in moisturisers. CosIng lists it as a surfactant.

Its stearic acid can come from plant oils or animal fat and the label does not say which, so on its own it leaves the vegan answer at not sure.
