What it does

Magnesium sulfate is Epsom salt. In water-in-oil creams a pinch stabilises the emulsion; in bath salts it is the main ingredient. CosIng lists it as bulking.

It is a mineral salt, not a cleansing sulfate, so the sulfate-free check ignores it. It affects none of the six checks.
