What it does

Linalyl acetate is one of the main components of lavender, bergamot and clary sage essential oils and is also made synthetically. Perfumers use it for a soft floral, slightly fruity note.

CosIng lists it as perfuming. It is not one of the fragrance allergens that EU rules require brands to declare separately, so on our labels it usually appears when a brand lists the components of an essential oil. It affects none of the six checks on its own.
