What it does

Isobutane is a liquefied gas. Inside the can it sits under pressure as a liquid; when the valve opens it turns to gas and carries the product out as a spray or foam. It usually appears together with butane and propane. CosIng lists it as a propellant.

It is made from petroleum gas and affects none of the six checks. It is not an alcohol.
