What it does

Sunflower seed oil is pressed from sunflower seeds and is rich in linoleic acid, which makes it lighter and less greasy than olive or coconut oil. It softens skin and dissolves other oil-soluble ingredients in creams, body oils and lip balms. CosIng lists it as emollient and solvent.

It is plant-derived and affects none of the six checks. It is a carrier oil, not an essential oil, so it is not fragrance.
