What it does
This ingredient is guar gum carrying a positive charge. Hair and skin carry a slight negative charge, so it clings to them, smooths the cuticle and cuts static. It is the reason a shampoo can leave hair soft without a separate conditioner. CosIng lists it as antistatic, film forming and skin conditioning.
It is plant-derived and affects none of the six checks.
