An emulsifier that holds the oil and water parts of a cream together.

What it triggers

Glyceryl stearate is made from glycerin and stearic acid. It is one of the workhorse emulsifiers of skincare.

Both of its building blocks can be plant or animal derived, so on its own it makes the vegan check say not sure unless the label claims vegan.
