What it does

Glyceryl oleate joins glycerin to oleic acid, the main fatty acid of olive and sunflower oil. It helps oil and water stay mixed, adds a soft skin feel and puts a little oil back into cleansers so they strip less. CosIng lists it as emollient and emulsifying.

Its glycerin and fatty acid can come from plant or animal fat and the label does not say which, so on its own it leaves the vegan answer at not sure.
