What it does

Glyceryl caprylate is glycerin joined to caprylic acid, a fatty acid usually taken from coconut or palm kernel oil. It softens skin, helps emulsify and makes life harder for microbes, so brands use it to reduce the amount of traditional preservative.

CosIng lists it as emollient, emulsifying and deodorant. Glycerin can be plant or animal derived and the label does not say which, so the vegan check says not sure unless the product is marked vegan. It affects none of the other five checks.
