What it does

Dipropylene glycol (DPG) is a synthetic liquid that dissolves fragrance oils, helps water and oil phases mix and adds a little moisture retention. Perfumers use it as a carrier, so it often appears right after Parfum on a label.

CosIng lists it as solvent, viscosity controlling and perfuming. Although it carries scent, it has no smell of its own, so on its own it does not change the fragrance-free answer. It affects none of the six checks.
