What it does

Dicaprylyl carbonate is made from caprylyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol usually from coconut or palm kernel oil. It spreads easily, helps UV filters dissolve and leaves a non-greasy finish, so it is common in sunscreens, body lotions and makeup.
