What it does

Decyl glucoside pairs glucose with a fatty alcohol from coconut or palm. It foams gently, tolerates hard water and is one of the standard cleansers in sulfate-free and baby products. CosIng lists it as cleansing surfactant and emulsion stabilising.

It is plant-derived, is not a sulfate, and affects none of the six checks.
