What it does

Coco-betaine is made from coconut oil fatty acids. It cleans mildly on its own and is usually paired with a stronger surfactant to make the foam creamier and the wash gentler. Shampoos, body washes and hand soaps use it.

CosIng lists it as cleansing, foam boosting, antistatic and hair conditioning. It is not a sulfate, so the sulfate-free check ignores it. It affects none of the six checks.
