What it does

CI 77491 is red iron oxide, the same compound as rust, made synthetically for purity. With the yellow (CI 77492) and black (CI 77499) oxides it produces almost every skin tone in foundations, concealers and powders, and it tints creams and sunscreens. CosIng lists it as a colorant.

It is a mineral pigment and affects none of the six checks.
