What it does

Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, better known as avobenzone, absorbs long-wave UVA light. It is often paired with octocrylene or other filters that keep it stable in sunlight. CosIng lists it in Annex VI as a UV filter with a maximum concentration.

It is synthetic and affects none of the six checks.
