What it does

Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine absorbs both UVA and UVB light and is very stable in sunlight, so it often anchors European sunscreens and day creams with SPF. It is oil-soluble and is not in the same family as the older filters such as oxybenzone.

CosIng lists it as UV filter, UV absorber and light stabilizer, permitted in the EU up to 10%. It is synthetic and affects none of the six checks.
