What it does

Aluminum hydroxide is a white mineral powder. In sunscreens and makeup it coats titanium dioxide and iron oxide particles so they spread evenly, and in creams it adds body and opacity. It is not the aluminium salt used in antiperspirants.

CosIng lists it as opacifying, viscosity controlling, humectant and skin protecting. It is mineral and affects none of the six checks.
